(Equisetum hyemale)
Also called Scouring Rush, Horsetail Reed has distinctive, dark green, hollow, and segmented stems that resemble bamboo.
It does not flower but reproduces through spores. It requires moist to wet soil and tolerates standing water.
Due to its invasive nature, it’s often recommended to plant it in pots or use root barriers to control its spread.
