(Tagetes lucida)

Mexican Mint Marigold is a hardy, low-maintenance perennial, which features bright yellow flowers in the fall and licorice-scented foliage that can be used as a culinary substitute for tarragon.

This plant attracts pollinators, tolerates full sun to part shade, and requires well-draining soil, making it a great option for Texas landscapes.

Other Names Anise Marigold, Texas Tarragon, Mexican Tarragon, and Spanish Tarragon.
