This brand new construction was in need of a landscape to soften and shape the wide, spacious lot. The back of the house is full of floor-to-ceiling windows, so the pool and spa serve as perfect focal points to lead the eye outside. Planters delegate various outdoor living spaces, adding texture and depth.
This home had a complete renovation. To match the new house, the clients wanted a clean and fresh landscape as an accompaniment. A pool was added along with fountains to keep the sound of running water a constant feature. A lush variety of foliage greets all who approach the front door.
The original back yard lacked personality; plantings were sparse and plain while any hardscape was dull and unflattering. Now the patio has been cleaned up and a vegetable garden was added for the client’s pleasure. The rich green of the plants are complimented by the cool, gray concrete and de-saturated wood planters.
Before the renovation, the front yard sloped towards the street with no interesting curb appeal. Steel planters were terraced into the grade as well as a new flagstone path to easily carry traffic to the front door. A front sitting area also adds function to the otherwise unused space. Lush grasses and shrubs add fresh and airy coziness to the home.
